Global Talent Trends

"The global talent race heats up as countries and businesses compete for the best and brightest. A worldwide “war for talent” is being waged, and enterprises that manage their global talent pool well, are marching ahead." -World Economic Forum.

With rapid globalization and technological advances, the so called “war for talent” is, for many businesses, a global war. Organisations are in competition for talent sourced from overseas, work forces operating remotely and individuals commuting and travelling internationally. While technological advances and increased ease of travel have served to open up the talent market, businesses are now faced with managing far more complex work forces with considerations of immigration, employment and tax at the top of the agenda. Please join us for a panel discussion jointly hosted by Farrer & Co, Fisher Phillips and The International Employers Forum on the trends, legal and tax issues arising from managing a global talent pool, led by:

  • Anna Birtwistle - Partner, Farrer & Co
  • William Wright - Head of International (US), Fisher Phillips
  • Sharmila Mehta - Immigration Senior Counsel, Farrer & Co
  • Mark Abbs - Global Mobility Partner, Blick Rothenberg
